Comments: Recently established fellowship with rapidly growing cardiac surgical volume. Volume includes wide variety of heart failure, valve surgery, revascularization surgery, robotic, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery, all with TEE intraoperatiave. CT anesthesiology director is and experienced educator. Publication numbers use combined numbers from fellows trained at director's previous institution.

Funding: Industry funding for studies in neurologic protection, new pharmacology, hemostasis management. Ongoing 5-6 active clinical trials.
Dedicated Research Time: at discretion of director
Echocardiography Instruction: 1 month dedicated in OR and cardiology laboratory. Daily TEE instruction in
Critical Care Rotation: One month

Operating Room Equipment Available: TEE, surface ultrasonography, epiaortic and epicardial scanning, cerebral oximetry, in line blood gas CPB, computer database.
