Call for Society Nominations

The SCA Board of Directors seeks nominations for 2 Directors-at-Large and 1 member of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee. Successful candidates will be installed at the Annual Meeting in April 2018 for a 2-year term.

The Directors-at-Large will bring expertise in cardiovascular anesthesiology, governance, and finance to the Board. The CME Committee leads and facilitates the independent development of unbiased, scientifically balanced continuing medical education activities.

If you would like to self-nominate or nominate another SCA member for any of the positions listed above, please prepare the following for submission:

  1. A letter of nomination (for self-nominees, this letter cannot be combined with the statement of intent)
  2. Two letters from Society members seconding the nomination
  3. A statement of intent from the nominee
  4. The nominee’s curriculum vitae
  5. A high-resolution, color business photo of the nominee
  6. A maximum 150-word biography/statement for publication to the membership

We encourage you to verify and make necessary updates to your address in the SCA database on a regular basis. Please call our member services department toll free at 855.658.2828 or log in to the SCA website to update your address now.

SCA Bulletin Submission Guidelines

Submissions to the SCA Bulletin are encouraged. All content should be submitted via e-mail to as a Microsoft Word document, with images and videos provided as attachments (minimum 72 dpi resolution, but 96 dpi is preferred). Please do not insert images into the Word document because that results in reduction of quality. Any other assets, such as videos, must be provided as attachments or external links. Please use a byline that includes credentials, affiliations, and the city and state of those affiliations. SCA adheres to AMA style when possible, including citations and references.
