SCA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Successful completion requires that participants register for the meeting, attend, participate, and complete an online evaluation. Participants will receive their CME certificate immediately after they submit their evaluations online.
It is the policy of SCA that the planners, faculty, and reviewers disclose the existence of any relevant financial relationships in any amount that they have or their spouse/partner has with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) or service(s) relating to the topics presented in the educational activity. SCA also requires disclosure of the intent to discuss unlabeled uses of a commercial product or investigational use of a product not yet approved for this purpose. It is the responsibility of the CME Committee to review relevant financial disclosures as submitted in the disclosure form and resolve relevant conflicts of interest. Resolving the conflict ensures that the content of the activity is aligned with the interests of the public. Disclosure information will be made available to attendees, who will be informed when a relevant financial relationship exists. The other planners, directors, moderators, faculty, and reviewers have no relevant financial interest to disclose.
