WICTA Highlights
Two upcoming weeks of service for the WICTA community!
First week: Start-Giving Tuesday Dec 2, 2025
Second week: Start on Feb 3, 2026- National Women’s Physicians Day.
Goal: For WICTA members to find meaningful ways to make a difference during these weeks. Service activities may be done individually or as a group. Highlights from our collective effort will be shared via social media, the WICTA website, and the WICTA newsletter.
Members will have the freedom to choose their activities. For those who need suggestions, several are listed below.
1.Volunteer Time: volunteer at a school, shelter, food bank, or any other local nonprofit or community organization. Service work within your work environment is also appropriate.
2.Donation Drive: collect non-perishable food items, clothes, or other essential supplies for a local food bank or shelter.
3.Skill-sharing: Offer your unique skills or talents to the community, such as providing free workshops or consulting for a local nonprofit.
4.Community Engagement: host a local event or fundraiser where community members can learn about an organization or different organizations missions.
- Random Acts of Kindness: “pay it forward,” buy a stranger a cup of coffee, etc.
We would love for you to participate and share what you are doing with the group. Expect additional communications about the upcoming service week.
