Message from the Scientific Program Chair
Dear Colleagues,
Please join us at the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists 48th Annual Meeting and Workshops in vibrant Nashville, TN, April 23-26, 2026! l. Don’t miss a first-class educational program and opportunities to congregate with friends and colleagues while surrounded by a vibrant mix of Southern hospitality and world-class music.
Enjoy small group sessions, workshops, and presentations and panel discussions on all the hot topics and developments in our field. The program will address the latest research, as well as clinical controversies in our practice, with experts from the world of cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, perfusion, critical care medicine, regional anesthesiology, and finance enriching our panel discussions. The workshops are hands-on opportunities to learn cutting edge technology from masters in the field in smaller, more interactive settings. Problem-based learning discussion sessions offer opportunities to learn by working through clinically challenging cases in a focused, small group setting led by experts.
Research focused sessions will have experts presenting and discussing latest trials and cutting-edge work, the work of our SCA members will be presented in the “Best of Meeting” sessions and in abstract presentations. Our Research track will be included in the Annual Meeting and offer high level content for the researchers among us. This includes a Late Breaking Research session, highlighting the work of SCA members, and the Anesthesia and Analgesia workshop taught by journal editors. Echocardiography CME hours will be offered in general sessions and workshops designed for the cardiac anesthesiologist, and the true echo-enthusiasts among us won’t want to miss the discussion at the SuperEcho session.
As in years past, we have a specific program designed for trainees containing unique sessions geared toward the educational and professional development needs of our medical students, residents, and fellows. This portion of the meeting offers mentoring opportunities and welcomes our newest colleagues into their subspecialty society.
While Nashville will offer plenty of opportunities for visiting with friends and colleagues outside the meeting, we plan to continue expanding in-meeting networking and interactive content. Our SCA Networking Event will offer opportunities to chat with SCA groups (committees, interest groups, councils), meet with vendors, and visit with colleagues in a reception after the first full day of the meeting.
Don’t miss out on joining us in Nashville as we come together to share our knowledge and experience in our chosen specialty.
See you there!
