Enhanced Recovery After Thoracic Surgery (ERATS) Sub-Committee Description & Roster
STRATEGIC PLAN GOAL: RESEARCH
SCA will be a global leader in comprehensive professional development that promotes the provision of safe, high quality, cost -effective medical care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
MISSION
The mission of the sub-committee is to help guide the successful establishment of Enhanced Recovery after Thoracic Surgery programs.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this sub-committee is to collect and disseminate expert opinion on principles necessary to implement an Enhanced Recovery after Thoracic Surgery (ERATS) program across a wide range of practice settings, from community-based hospitals to large academic centers.
PARENT COMMITTEE
The sub-committee reports to the Clinical Practice Improvement Committee.
MEETING
The sub-committee meets at least once per year.
COMPOSITION
The sub-committee is composed of the Chair, Parent Committee Chair, Board liaison, and members-at-large.
TERM
Members may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms unless presidential approval is granted for a third.
