Mobile App Subcommittee

STRATEGIC PLAN GOAL: EDUCATION
SCA will be a global leader in comprehensive professional development that promotes the provision of safe, high-quality, cost-effective medical care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.

MISSION
The Mobile App Subcommittee promotes member engagement in the Society and access to the Society for non-members. The subcommittee aims to be inclusive of all persons with an interest in the practice of cardiovascular anesthesiology. The subcommittee aims to produce a product that is of utility to both members and non-members.

PURPOSE
The subcommittee manages the SCA’s mobile application and the projects and programs within the app that enhance the member experience. Specific duties include to monitor and evaluate the engagement that users are having with the app, both repeated uses and initial downloads; oversee the interface between the SCA Board of Directors and the Mobile App; keep the app up-to-date with the latest guidelines in cardiac anesthesia; add content to the app to make it more attractive to members and non-members for daily usage; to interface with other Committees and Subcommittees about their respective activities and products so that the app can reflect all that the SCA has to offer; and remain abreast of SCA in-person and virtual events so that notifications can be pushed to app users.

PARENT COMMITTEE
The sub-committee reports to the Membership Engagement Committee.

MEETING
The sub-committee meets at least once per year.

COMPOSITION
The sub-committee is composed of the Chair, Parent Committee Chair, Board liaison, and members-at-large.

TERM
Members may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms unless presidential approval is granted for a third.
