Outreach to Association of Cardiac Anesthesiologists (ACA)
George Burgess MD writes to the limited (<50) member ACA suggesting that membership be open to all interested subspecialists. The ACA demurs and recommends he start a new organization to fulfill that need. Dr Burgess joins with Robert Marino, MD, and Martin Peuler, MD, at the Oschner Clinic in New Orleans to create a new national organization open to all anesthesiologists interested in cardiac anesthesiology.
